Pokeballs are your main tools in Pokemon Go. Think of them as your fishing rod. In order to catch them all, you're going to have to master the art of the Pokeball. But first you'll have to know where to get them.

Where to Get Pokeballs in Pokemon Go

There are three methods to getting Pokeballs: levelling up, Pokestops, and of course, the Pokeshop. As you play the game, you're going to come across many Pokeballs. So much so that your bag is going to get full constantly in the early stages of your adventures. Unfortunatley, you're going to waste them by the hundreds when you try to catch Pokemon with higher CPs. Therefore, it'll be in your best interest to constantly monitor your Pokeball inventory and replenish it often.

Leveling up

Levelling up is going to bring you bulk amounts of Pokeballs. In fact, whenever you level up your character, you're going to add Pokeballs of some sort to your inventory. Levelling up will also enable you to unlock new types of Pokeballs so you can later add them through Pokestops. For example, when you level up to a level 12, you will unlock the Great Balls. When you reach level 20, you'll attain access to the Ultra Ball.

Pokestops

You'll find most of your Pokeballs at Pokestops. In addition to potions and eggs, Pokestops will varied amounts of Pokeballs depending on the location and time of day. As mentioned above, whenever you unlock a new type of Pokeball from leveling up, you'll also be able to gain the same type through Pokestops.

Shop

If you find yourself low on Pokeballs or really in need a more powerfull Pokeball, hit up Pokemon Go's shop. At the Pokemon shop you can by your Pokeballs different bundles with Pokecoins. Unfortunately , you will only be able to purchase the standard version of the Pokeballs and NOT Great, Ultra, or Master Pokeballs.
