Route 4 is the next route the player must take to continue the story after defeating Viola at the Santalune Gym. Route 4 features several insect, grass, and fairy-type Pokémon, as well as several trainers. Route 4 connects to Santalune City to the South and Lumiose City to the North.
Tips
Ralts are a very rare encounter on Route 4, but they are highly worth the patience for their Psychic moves. All of the gardeners in the hedges will use a Lv. 10 Corphish, which can be troublesome due to their Vice Grip moves. If you see a gardener and want to make short work of them, get a Pikachu ready or a Grass-type Pokémon.
